Data Pump Import Hangs – Inactive

When running an import using data pump, the session logs on but doesn’t do anything. The only message present within the alert log is this:

kupprdp: master process DM00 started with pid=24, OS id=7244
to execute – SYS.KUPM$MCP.MAIN(‘SYS_IMPORT_SCHEMA_01’, ‘SYS’, ‘KUPC$C_1_20100416103259’, ‘KUPC$S_1_20100416103259’, 0);

It took me a while to realise it but there was no TEMP space in the database and once this was added it started up without a problem.
